Amway

Amway was founded in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Rich DeVos.

Amway is one of the original network marketing companies. It markets over 450 different products such as, jewelry, Nutrilite dietary supplements, water purifiers, air purifiers, and much more. They boast a global distribution and ordering network. They claim these are just some of the things that will bring great success to you as a retailer of their products while allowing you to build a sales team.

If you have not heard of Amway, I would have to wonder if you had been living on a deserted island somewhere. Amway is a name easily recognized, and one associated with a lot of controversy. Allegations ranging from Amway being a pyramid scheme to a cult.

There is a wealth of information, pro and con about Amway available to anyone. It has had much success over the years, and many of it's sales people have mad a lot of money. Amway is an established company, with a diverse product line.

The downside is that most people seem to immediately turn and run when that name is mentioned, and it is because of that, at least in my opinion, that Amway is not going to be the best opportunity out there. For every person who made money with Amway, there are a thousand who didn't.
