Bill
Myers
I did some
extensive research on Bill Myers to find out what
exactly was the truth about this guy. It seems that
he's got quite a large following, many of which have
some rather interesting stories to tell about him.
According
to one marketer I spke to, Bill Meyers said you should
go to your local used bookstore, and look for
product ideas there.
When you
really take a look at this idea, it's an excellent
technique. You don't need any ideas of your own,
just go
down to a used bookstore and look for books with attention
grabbing, catchy titles.
Mr. Myers
teaches that the reason you focus on used book
stores as opposed to new book stores, is because
the goal is to find old books that have long been forgotten.
If you find an old dusty book on the shelf of a used
book store, chances are it would be easy
to contact the author of the book. You might be able
to call or email the author and obtain rights to re-publish
his/her book online for a 5% to 10% royalty.
The authors
of outdated and sometimes out of print books are
many times willing to make a
very good deal with you. Bill even suggested that the
author would be flattered that there is renewed
interest in his or her book. That makes the
author even more friendly towards your
offer.
From the
various interviews I've conducted, I've actually
learned quite a bit about Bill Myers. The main thing
I learned is that he's a very good internet marketer,
and he definitely deserves respect. Rrecently,
I've began an effort to make contact with Bill, so
I can
interview
him.
